Job summary

Symlab AG in Zürich, Switzerland, seeks an experienced Embedded Software Development Engineer to design and implement high‑performance Linux‑based software for SoC platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven embedded software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills and Linux familiarity.
• Experience with SoC architectures and low-level interfaces.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs.
• Familiarity with network protocols and embedded communications.
• Proficient in English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Linux-based systems.
• Develop and optimize applications for SoC platforms.
• Define and implement clean, scalable APIs.
• Collaborate on web-based GUIs for system control.
• Integrate software with hardware components and ensure system functionality.
• Perform debugging and performance tuning of embedded systems.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with hardware, system engineering, and product teams.
