Zusammenfassung

Symlab AG in Zürich, Switzerland, is seeking an embedded software development engineer to design and implement Linux-based software for high-performance wireless and signal-processing systems used in jamming and anti-drone equipment.

You will work across the full software lifecycle from architecture to testing, collaborate with hardware and system engineering, and contribute to robust APIs and web-based GUIs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in embedded software development.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ (additional languages are a plus).
• Solid experience with Linux (kernel and/or user space).
• Experience working with SoC architectures and low‑level hardware interfaces.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs.
• Familiarity with network protocols and embedded communication interfaces.
• Experience with web technologies (REST APIs, HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for GUI development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent English (mandatory); German is a strong advantage.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Linux-based systems.
• Develop and optimize applications for System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms.
• Define and implement clean, scalable, and well-documented APIs.
• Collaborate on the development of web-based GUIs for system control and monitoring.
• Integrate software with hardware components and ensure system-level functionality.
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of embedded systems.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure software quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, system engineering, and product management.
