Job summary

Symlab AG, headquartered in Freienbach, seeks an Embedded Software Development Engineer to join the team at Technopark Zurich. You will design and develop advanced embedded software in a Linux-based environment, working on cutting-edge wireless and signal-processing systems for Jamming Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/EE or related field.
• Proven embedded software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Solid Linux kernel/user space experience.
• Experience with SoC architectures and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Experience designing APIs and working with REST/GUI technologies.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Linux-based systems.
• Develop and optimize applications for System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms.
• Define and implement clean, scalable APIs.
• Collaborate on the development of web-based GUIs for system control and monitoring.
• Integrate software with hardware components and ensure system functionality.
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of embedded systems.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure software quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, system engineering, and product management.
