Antaes is seeking an Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer to join our Core Electronics Engineering team in Switzerland. You will design, implement, test, and optimize firmware for next-generation battery-powered consumer devices on modern microcontrollers and ARM TI platforms, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in embedded product development, preferably consumer electronics or regulated industries.
• Strong hands-on C development; C++ is advantageous.
• Experience with RTOS and inter-processor communications.
• Familiarity with microcontroller architectures and peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, DMA, timers).
• Experience with embedded toolchains, debuggers, and Git.
• CI/CD experience and Python or Bash scripting for automation.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize embedded firmware in C for battery-operated devices.
• Develop firmware on ARM Cortex-M and TI MSPM-based architectures.
• Contribute to firmware architecture, design, implementation, integration, and maintenance.
• Plan, develop, automate, and execute component- and system-level tests.
• Analyze test results with cross-disciplinary teams to improve firmware performance.
• Support device reliability and performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with electronics, systems, mechanical, and test engineering teams.
• Provide firmware expertise across core electronics technologies and platforms.
• Contribute to debugging, root-cause analyses, and issue resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and process improvements.
