Empa in Dübendorf, Switzerland, is seeking a specialist to operate and maintain electron microscopes and prep facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate complex repairs with manufacturers and service providers.

You will train users, contribute to scientific projects, and provide electron-microscopy services to internal and external customers. Fluency in English is mandatory, German is desirable.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in operating and maintaining electron microscopes.

• Operate the center's electron microscopes and sample preparation facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics and basic repairs of microscopy equipment.
• Coordinate complex repairs with manufacturers and external service providers.
• Introduce and train users to the tools and methods.
• Contribute to scientific projects and provide EM services to internal and external customers.
