Dry Bulk Freight Operator role based in Zug, Switzerland, requires ownership of day-to-day voyage execution and close cooperation with Freight, Chartering, and Commodity teams. You will coordinate with shipowners, brokers, agents, terminals and other counterparties worldwide.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years in dry bulk operations, strong voyage economics knowledge, and hands-on experience with iron ore, coal, and grains.

Qualifikationen

• 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in dry bulk freight operations
• Solid understanding of dry bulk shipping and voyage execution
• Experience with commodities such as iron ore, coal, grains or similar bulk cargoes
• Good working knowledge of Charter Parties and shipping documentation
• Practical experience with laytime, demurrage and despatch calculations
• Strong understanding of voyage economics and the commercial impact of operational decisions

Aufgaben

• Manage and coordinate dry bulk voyages from fixture to completion
• Monitor vessel positions, laycans, cargo readiness, ETA/ETD and port operations
• Maintain close communication with owners, charterers, masters, brokers, agents, terminals and other counterparties
• Issue voyage and operational instructions and ensure timely flow of information between all parties
• Coordinate loading and discharge operations and proactively manage delays or operational issues
• Review Charter Party terms and ensure voyages are performed in accordance with contractual requirements
• Review and coordinate Bills of Lading, Notices of Readiness, Statements of Facts and other shipping documentation
• Monitor bunker requirements, consumption and voyage-related costs
• Review port disbursements, freight, hire and other voyage expenses
• Prepare and review laytime calculations, including demurrage and despatch
• Identify potential operational and contractual exposures and manage claims in coordination with the relevant internal and external parties
• Maintain accurate voyage data and ensure timely voyage accounting and settlement
• Work closely with Freight/Chartering, Commodity Operations, Finance and other internal functions
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve voyage performance and reduce operational costs
