Sunflower Labs in Zurich is seeking a test engineer to develop test procedures, run test campaigns, implement CI testing and build HITL/SITL harnesses for our autonomous drone-in-a-box system. You will write software to automate tests and evaluate systems, while spending time in the field operating the system to validate performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in requirements analysis, test design, and writing test cases.
• Experience with automated testing and simulation tools (GTest, PyTest, Robot Framework, Gazebo, Isaac).
• Programming experience (Python, C++).
• Experience building test infrastructure and engineering tools and processes from an early stage, with the ability to turn loosely defined needs into practical, working solutions.
• Experience in test execution, e.g. manual testing, tracking of defects and reporting of results.
• Bachelor or master degree in a relevant field.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of and scale our test infrastructure, extending existing capabilities and building new automated test systems and processes.
• Drive the implementation and maintenance of SITL and HITL continuous integration tests.
• Design and execute flight test campaigns to verify system performance.
• Take ownership of rigorously stress-testing the system to identify weaknesses.
• Be responsible for creating comprehensive test reports.
• Recommend enhancements to improve system reliability and usability.
