Zusammenfassung

Sunflower Labs in Zürich is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design, build and test our next-generation drone hardware and base station. You will work with engineering and production teams to turn ideas from CAD drawings into prototypes and validated designs.

The role requires practical experience with SolidWorks, 3D CAD, prototyping and testing, plus strong English and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience designing, building and testing mechanical components or assemblies.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks, with strong drawings and tolerances.
• Hands-on prototyping, assembly and testing experience.
• Strong written and spoken English; collaborative working style.
• Creative, practical problem solver with testing feedback.

Aufgaben

• Design and revise mechanical components using SolidWorks and prepare drawings/BOMs.
• Build, assemble and test prototypes; use results to improve designs.
• Design jigs and fixtures to support prototyping, assembly and testing.
• Apply DFM/DFM principles using feedback from team, suppliers and production.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to integrate components and document designs.
