Job summary

Harmattan AI is seeking a Drone System Validation Technician & Remote Pilot in Lausanne to keep autonomous drones operational for deployment. You will manage the validation lab and support engineers during field testing campaigns, ensuring readiness of the fleet.

The role requires hands-on electronics/mechanics experience, drone piloting skills, and a safety-conscious approach. Travel for field testing is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or significant practical experience in electronics, mechanics, or RC modeling.
• Strong manual dexterity in soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly.
• Rigorous, organized, and safety-conscious mindset.
• Experience piloting multirotor or fixed-wing drones; remote pilot certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for field testing operations.
• English proficiency at A2 minimum.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the drone fleet.
• Pilot drones during test campaigns and serve as safety operator during flights.
• Manage inventory for spare parts, batteries, and field equipment.
• Organize transport and gear preparation for field testing campaigns.
• Run standardized test protocols and report results to engineering teams.
• Keep the workshop and validation lab clean, organized, and secure.
