Zusammenfassung

Jedsy seeks a Drone Service Technician (m/f/d) for our Münster site to install, maintain and repair medical delivery drones and mailboxes. You will be the first point of contact for drone operations and maintenance issues, ensuring smooth performance and high customer satisfaction.

Expect travel across Europe to help launch new locations and 2–3 trips per year to Malawi. The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, a valid driver’s license, and fluency in English and German.

Qualifikationen

  • EU citizen or eligible to work in the EU.
  • Several years of hands-on service or mechanical experience.
  • MUST speak both English and German at high levels.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Aufgaben

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on drones.
  • Install new mailboxes and swap batteries as needed.
  • Store and charge batteries efficiently.
  • Transport and pack drones for operational readiness.
  • Travel to launch future Jedsy locations across Europe and Malawi 2-3 times per year.
  • Be the first point of contact for customers and the operations center regarding drone flights and maintenance issues.

The Mission

For our newest location in Münster, we are looking for a Drone Service Technician (m/f/d). In this position, you will be responsible for learning the installation, maintenance, and repair of our medical delivery drones and mailboxes. You will be the first point of contact for all maintenance and customer‑related issues relating to our drones and will ensure smooth operation and maximum customer satisfaction.

Should drone operations be impossible due to adverse weather conditions, you will be responsible for organizing blood sample delivery by car. You will also assist in on‑the‑scene response, should our drone need to make an emergency or unscheduled landing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on drones.
  • Install new mailboxes and swap batteries as needed.
  • Store and charge batteries efficiently.
  • Transport and pack drones for operational readiness.
  • Drive in challenging weather conditions to ensure timely delivery of blood samples when drones are grounded.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and the operations center regarding drone flights and maintenance issues.
  • Be involved in emergency response and interface with local authorities.
  • Mentor and train future employees as the first specialist in this role.
  • Travel to help launch future Jedsy locations across Europe.
  • Travel to our Malawi, Africa office 2-3 times per year.
Your Profile
  • Must be an EU citizen.
  • Have a few years of hands‑on service or mechanical experience (Kfz‑Mechatroniker, Aufzugstechniker, HVAC, wind turbine, Telekom or Vodafone field service, medical devices, or similar.
  • Tinker in your off‑hours: RC, motorcycles, restoring cars, 3D printing, Funkamateur, home automation, anything you build or fix because you want to.
  • MUST speak BOTH English and German at high levels. Non‑negotiable.
  • Structured and organized with excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Highly reliable with a strong commitment to operational excellence.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training and as needed for assisting new city launches.
