Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Director of Mechanical Engineering in Switzerland to steer the mechanical strategy for a global AI infrastructure portfolio. You will oversee standards, reference designs, and delivery across regions, leading a multidisciplinary team to optimize cooling architectures and reliability.

This senior role requires a degree in mechanical engineering, chartered status preferred, and a proven track record in data center cooling, large-scale programs,

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Chartered or professional engineer status preferred.
• Senior technical leadership in data centre or mission-critical mechanical engineering.
• Deep knowledge of data centre cooling systems and design philosophies.
• Experience developing engineering standards, reference designs, or basis-of-design docs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as mechanical engineering authority across global portfolio from concept through commissioning.
• Develop and maintain mechanical design standards and specs across regions.
• Own liquid cooling architecture in collaboration with technology teams.
• Provide technical guidance to active projects and resolve engineering challenges.
• Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with standards.
• Mentor engineers and build the mechanical engineering team as project pipeline grows.
• Provide updates on progress, risks, decisions, and delivery status.
