MSD Switzerland is seeking an Associate Director, International Legal & Compliance (Digital, Data and AI) based in Lucerne. You will advise on ex‑US digital health, AI, data and technology initiatives and partner with regional and global teams to balance innovation with regulatory risk.

The role requires strong expertise in AI governance, data protection, and international regulatory frameworks, plus proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects and train stakeholders across markets.

Formación

• Law degree with a current license to practise or equivalent professional certification.
• LL.M. or equivalent in a relevant discipline is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of post‑qualification legal experience in a pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare or other highly regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of AI, data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and digital regulatory landscape including EU frameworks and international regimes.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic legal and compliance counsel for ex‑US digital health, AI, data and technology initiatives.
• Assess and document legal and compliance risks relating to AI and data use, including privacy, IP, bias, transparency, safety, and third‑party risk.
• Monitor and translate AI, digital, privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance regulations into pragmatic guidance, policies and training.
• Review and negotiate technology, AI, data, cloud, SaaS, API, licensing, and digital partnership agreements with data‑use considerations.
• Collaborate with regional and market teams, IT/digital functions, privacy offices, and external partners to ensure global alignment.
