Job summary

Monte Rosa Therapeutics, Inc. seeks a technical leader to define and build an agentic AI strategy, delivering production-grade systems used by scientists from discovery through clinical development.

You will own the vision, architecture, and roadmap for agentic AI, redesign workflows around AI agents, and integrate diverse data sources to enable reliable agent behavior in real workflows.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a quantitative discipline with deep ML knowledge.
• Proven track record building and deploying agentic/LLM systems.
• Experience turning research needs into production workflows.
• Strong Python and production engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, architecture and roadmap for agentic AI across discovery to commercialization.
• Identify high-value scientific workflows and redesign around AI agents.
• Build data and knowledge layers with omics, clinical, chemistry, literature data.
• Develop connectors, APIs, semantic layers and retrieval systems.
• Deploy secure, auditable agentic systems with human-in-the-loop oversight.
• Establish evaluation frameworks for benchmarks, provenance and reproducibility.
• Partner with scientists to turn research needs into products.
• Drive adoption through demos and reusable patterns.
• Track advances in foundation models and agent architectures.
• Define success metrics and mentor AI team as organization scales.
