Monte Rosa Therapeutics, Inc. seeks a hands-on technical leader to define and build an agentic AI strategy used across discovery through clinical development. You will lead the architecture, identify high-value workflows and transform them into production-ready AI-enabled workflows for scientists.

You will integrate diverse data domains, build data infrastructures, and deploy secure agentic systems with human-in-the-loop oversight, driving adoption through demos and partnerships with scientists.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in ML/CS/Stats or other quantitative field.
• Substantial experience as an applied ML scientist/engineer with strong execution.
• Proven track record deploying LLM-based or agentic systems in real workflows; not just prototype.
• Deep knowledge of agent architectures: planning, tool calling, RAG, memory, multi-agent coordination, human-in-the-loop design.
• Strong Python and production engineering skills: APIs, testing, containers, cloud deployment, observability; experience with AI data infrastructure like pipelines, ontologies, knowledge graphs, semantic search.
• Depth in at least one scientific data domain (omics, clinical, chemistry, imaging or biomedical text).

Aufgaben

• Own the vision, architecture and roadmap for agentic AI across discovery, translational science, clinical development and commercialization.
• Identify high-value scientific workflows and redesign them around AI agents from first principles.
• Build data and knowledge layers for agents by integrating omics, clinical, chemistry, assay, literature, patent and regulatory data.
• Develop connectors, APIs, semantic and metadata layers, and retrieval systems for reliable data and tools use.
• Deploy secure, auditable agentic systems with human-in-the-loop oversight, tracing, permissioning and monitoring.
• Establish robust evaluation frameworks: benchmarks, provenance checks, failure-mode analysis, reproducibility, latency and cost tracking.
• Collaborate with scientists to turn research needs into products and move prototypes to adopted workflows.
• Drive adoption of agentic-first approaches through demos, partnerships, training and reusable patterns.
