Job summary

CERN’s IC Technology R&D team in Geneva seeks an engineer specializing in system-level modelling and digital ASIC design to bridge architecture-level simulation with hardware implementation for future particle detectors.

You will help develop and validate electronic systems, collaborating with physicists and software teams, and contribute to verification through simulation and testing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 2–6 years of professional experience since graduation, or a PhD with up to 3 years since graduation.
• National of CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
• No prior CERN fellow or graduate contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and use simulation models to study and optimise electronic systems for detector technology.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of digital ICs based on system-level specifications.
• Support verification and validation of designs through simulation and testing.
• Collaborate with engineers, physicists and software developers on detector electronics.
