Bank for International Settlements invites applications for Deputy Secretary General of the Financial Stability Board (FSB). The appointment is five years, based in Basel, with relocation support for eligible dependents and flexible hybrid working options.

The role leads the Secretariat, sets strategy with the Chair and Secretary General, and oversees policy development, meetings, and international engagement with central banks, authorities, and international bodies.

Competenze

• Advanced graduate degree in economics or finance or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 15 years of experience in central banking, treasury, financial regulation, or international financial institutions.
• Deep experience in financial stability policy making at national and international level.
• Experience with international policy dialogue and chairing relevant working groups or task forces.

Mansioni

• Assist in directing the work of the Secretariat and manage resources.
• Support implementation of the Secretariat’s strategy defined by Chair and Secretary General.
• Lead coordination among FSB members and represent the FSB at conferences and meetings.
• Draft, edit and coordinate documents and publications for the FSB.
• Prepare meetings and support activities of plenary, steering and standing committees, and working groups.
• Oversee staff development, performance reviews, and recruitment in the Secretariat.
