Job summary

UNITAR in Geneva seeks a Deputy Executive Director (D2) to lead operations across finance, human resources, legal, ICT, procurement and facilities, and oversee post-merger integration with UNSSC, including Turin Campus and offices in Bonn, Hiroshima, Madrid and New York. The role will deputize for the Executive Director and serve as Officer-in-Charge.

Qualifications

• Master's or equivalent in a relevant field is required or a first-level degree with additional years of experience accepted.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible executive experience in organizational management or governance in international contexts.
• 7+ years of senior managerial experience overseeing multi-disciplinary portfolios.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of another UN official language desirable.
