You will supervise ICRC Rules on Personal Data Protection, advise departments, develop procedures, and ensure data protection by design.

The role requires a law degree, DP certification, and 10-12 years of experience; fluent English is mandatory, French or Spanish is a plus; open-ended contract.

Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of data protection law, supported by Data Protection Officer certification.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in French or Spanish is a valuable asset.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, International Law, or Human Rights.
• 10-12 years of overall professional experience; ~5 years as a legal adviser or attorney is a strong asset.
• Around 2 years of experience in data protection or privacy; operational humanitarian experience is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Supervise and monitor the application of ICRC Rules on Personal Data Protection.
• Support departments and delegations in implementing data protection rules.
• Provide legal analysis and advice; ensure policy development and DP by Design/Default.
• Advise on engagements and data processing or sharing agreements.
• Ensure DP by design in new tools, processes, and initiatives.
