Job summary

Genentech, Inc. is seeking a Portfolio Leader (Cross Portfolio + Strategy & Operations) to partner with the Head of PSM and drive strategy, planning, operations, and team culture in a dynamic environment.

You will lead cross-portfolio initiatives, collaborate with senior Pharma leaders, and shape portfolio strategy, decisions, and prioritization to deliver impact across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in operations, strategy and/or R&D within the biopharma industry.
• Experience in strategy development and linking strategy to tactics.
• Structured problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle.
• Experience in cross-portfolio strategy or portfolio management, including assessing portfolio dynamics and prioritization trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partner: realize the strategic vision for PSM and co-create initiatives.
• PSM ecosystem architecture and functioning: lead PSM LT and All Staff meetings using agile practices.
• Talent deployment: build systems to align team skills to high-impact needs.
• Operations leadership: operationalize priorities and foster a learning, adaptable culture.
• Liaison & network: maintain Portfolio network with gRED, pRED, GPS and lead cross-portfolio work.
