Qualifikationen

• 5+ years' experience within credit insurance broking, underwriting or a closely related credit insurance function.
• Strong technical knowledge of single-risk, whole-turnover, portfolio and structured credit insurance products.
• Experience covering energy, metals, commodities or structured trade finance exposures is highly advantageous.
• Hands-on, proactive and entrepreneurial in approach, with fluent English.

• Structure tailored insurance solutions for short and long-term transactions, including portfolio solutions, top-ups, layering and syndication.
• Lead the presentation of transactions to the insurance market and coordinate with brokers, underwriters and internal stakeholders.
• Develop insurance capacity for complex transactions, counterparties and challenging jurisdictions.
• Manage policy documentation, reporting and compliance obligations.
• Negotiate policy wording, terms, exclusions and conditions to ensure appropriate and enforceable coverage.
• Lead claims processes including notification, documentation, Legal coordination and recovery management.
• Build strong relationships across the global credit insurance market and support knowledge development across the wider Credit function.

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment has partnered with a leading international energy and commodities trading organization in Geneva to appoint a Credit Insurance Manager for its global risk function.

Operating within a fast-paced and constantly evolving trading environment, the Credit team plays a critical role in identifying, structuring, managing and mitigating financial risk across the business.

This position will own the use of credit insurance as a key credit risk mitigation tool, working closely with the global Credit team, trading teams, Finance, Legal, and the external insurance market.

The role offers significant autonomy and requires someone hands-on, proactive and commercially minded, with the ability to independently develop and execute appropriate insurance solutions across complex transactions and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities of the Credit Insurance Manager

• Define and execute the overall credit insurance strategy across the business

Your Profile

• 5+ years' experience within credit insurance broking, underwriting or a closely related credit insurance function
• Strong technical knowledge of single-risk, whole-turnover, portfolio and structured credit insurance products
• Experience covering energy, metals, commodities or structured trade finance exposures is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of policy wording, exclusions, conditions and claims mechanics
• Established relationships across the credit insurance market, including brokers and underwriters
• Strong commercial judgement, communication and negotiation skills
• Able to work independently, manage complex negotiations and operate effectively across different international time zones
• Hands-on, proactive and entrepreneurial in approach, with fluent English
