The role focuses on credit analysis, reviews, ratings, limit setting and advisory support to Front Office, with strong stakeholder engagement and independent prioritisation under tight deadlines.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years’ experience in a credit role.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk management, financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Experience within the metals and/or oil trading industry is highly desirable.
• Fluent English; Spanish would be a strong advantage.

Aufgaben

• Preparing detailed credit analysis and making recommendations based on findings.
• Conducting regular credit reviews and assigning counterparty ratings and limits.
• Monitoring global and industry credit events and their potential impact on the business.
• Managing portfolio credit exposures and daily credit risk reporting, including limit monitoring, breach escalation and margining.
• Managing and maintaining credit insurance policies.
• Providing credit advisory support to Front Office traders on daily trading activities.
• Supporting trading desks on individual transactions, including the negotiation of appropriate credit clauses.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key counterparties and financial institutions.
• Maintaining accurate records of clients, credit decisions and supporting documentation.
• Contributing to key credit projects and initiatives across the Credit function.

Senior Credit Professional | Metals & Oil Trading | International Trading Business

I’m currently supporting an international trading business in the search for an experienced Senior Credit Professional to join their Credit function.

This is a senior, commercially focused role with significant exposure to the metals and/or oil trading markets, working closely with Front Office, counterparties, financial institutions and internal stakeholders across the business.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing and assessing counterparty credit risk across a global portfolio, while providing day-to-day credit support to trading desks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed credit analysis and making recommendations based on findings
• Conducting regular credit reviews and assigning counterparty ratings and limits
• Monitoring global and industry credit events and their potential impact on the business

The ideal candidate will bring:

• The ability to analyse and interpret complex financial statements

• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and operate effectively under tight deadlines
• Fluent English; Spanish would be a strong advantage
