International Telecommunication Union (ITU) invites applications for a Country Project Coordination Consultant to support Africa-focused activities under the Africa-BB-Maps project. The role requires coordinating country-level delivery, liaising with national institutions and contractors, and maintaining timely progress through milestones and reports.

The roster arrangement allows engagement across multiple beneficiary countries, with a 6-month contract and renewal possibilities.

Qualifikationen

• At least five (5) years of experience in project coordination or project management.
• Experience coordinating with government institutions, regulatory authorities or development partners.
• Experience in reporting progress and monitoring project implementation.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of project activities within the assigned country per the approved plan.
• Serve as the primary national focal point and liaise with beneficiary institutions and stakeholders.
• Work with the Regional Project Coordinator to ensure coordinated reporting and consistent implementation.
• Monitor progress against milestones, identify risks and escalate issues needing management attention.
• Coordinate national project meetings, workshops, training activities and stakeholder consultations.
• Monitor contractor activities and follow up on actions to ensure timely outputs.
• Prepare and submit implementation updates, minutes and action trackers.
• Support administrative and regulatory arrangements for implementation, including entry formalities for personnel.
