Job summary

Stegra AB in Boden, Sweden, is seeking a costs-focused project controller for a 12-24 month temporary assignment. You will support cost control activities across our EPCM projects, ensuring budgets and objectives are met while contributing to sustainable, future-focused steel production.

You bring 3+ years in project controls, strong Excel skills, and a collaborative mindset. Fluency in English is required; Swedish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost control or project controls experience.
• Experience in industrial, construction, infrastructure, or EPCM environments is an advantage.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Project Controls, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and deviations in cost data.
• Proficient in Excel and cost-control/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control activities within an assigned area, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and project objectives
• Review and analyze cost reports, forecasts, commitments, accruals, and change orders from EPCM contractors and suppliers
• Prepare cost forecasts, variance analyses, cash flow information, and monthly reporting
• Monitor project cost performance and identify trends, risks, opportunities, and deviations
• Work with Project Managers, Area Managers, Finance, Procurement, Planning, and EPCM partners to ensure accurate cost information
• Support change management activities and assess the cost impact of project changes
• Maintain project cost reports, dashboards, and supporting cost control documentation
• Contribute to reliable and transparent project reporting throughout the execution phase
