Job summary

Stegra Boden AB is seeking a skilled Mechanic in Boden, Sweden to join the Mechanical Maintenance team. You will support daily production operations, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

You will collaborate with operators, technicians, and engineers to enhance equipment reliability and safety in a modern industrial environment. The role requires flexibility for shift work and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mechanic in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Relevant vocational education in mechanics, maintenance, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of workplace safety standards and safe maintenance practices.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work shifts when required.
• Good knowledge of English; Swedish is a plus.

A bit about the role

As a Mechanic at Stegra, you'll be part of the Mechanical Maintenance team and support the daily operation of production and industrial equipment. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and improvement work across mechanical systems and machinery. You'll collaborate closely with operators, technicians, engineers, and other maintenance colleagues to maintain high standards of safety, reliability, and operational performance in a modern industrial environment.
