Zusammenfassung

Stäubli seeks a Corporate Operations Controller to partner with the COO and Operations Leadership across manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics, quality and supply chain. You will drive standard costing, inventory control, KPI reporting and global cost discipline while advancing business transformation initiatives.

Regular plant visits in Europe, with travel to the US and China, will be required; English fluency is essential.

Qualifikationen

  • Experience in Operations Finance or Controlling in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong costing, budgeting, variance analysis and inventory management expertise.
  • Analytical modelling linking operational and financial performance.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across geographies.
  • Experience leading international cross-functional projects and finance transformation.
  • Fluent English; German/French a plus. Proficient with SAP S/4HANA.

Aufgaben

  • Partner with the COO and Operations Leadership Team to provide financial insights, business cases, and decision support for manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, network design and footprint optimization.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, and performance reporting for Corporate Operations with KPI monitoring and improvement actions.
  • Own and enhance global standard costing, inventory control, plant performance measurement, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive transparency and performance improvements across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality, inventory, and working capital.
  • Act as finance lead for operational transformation projects, defining KPIs and reporting needs across SAP, planning, consolidation and BI systems.
  • Strengthen the Controlling community through training and best-practice sharing.

Job Description

As Corporate Operations Controller, you will serve as the key finance business partner to the COO and Operations Leadership Team, supporting strategic decision-making across manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics, quality, and supply chain operations. Combining business partnering with deep operations controlling expertise, you will drive global standards, performance transparency, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, working capital, and business performance across the Group.

To build a strong understanding of operational realities and foster close collaboration with key stakeholders, you will regularly visit production sites and operations teams across the Group, primarily within Europe and occasionally in the US and China. Travel will be around 20% to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the COO and Operations Leadership Team, providing financial insights, performance analysis, business cases, and decision support for manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, network design, and footprint optimization initiatives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, and performance reporting for Corporate Operations, while monitoring operational and financial KPIs and driving improvement actions.
  • Own and continuously enhance global standard costing, inventory control, plant performance measurement, and operations controlling standards, policies, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive transparency and performance improvement across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality, inventory, productivity, forecast accuracy, working capital, and supply chain operations.
  • Act as the finance lead for operational transformation projects, defining KPIs, reporting requirements, and performance measures across SAP, planning, consolidation, and BI systems.
  • Strengthen the Group Controlling community through training, best-practice sharing, continuous improvement initiatives, and finance transformation projects.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in Operations Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Manufacturing Finance, or Controlling within a global industrial or manufacturing environment, including experience at local production site/ factory level.
  • Strong expertise in standard costing, budgeting, variance analysis, inventory management, procurement finance, performance management, and working capital optimization.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to connect operational and financial performance and identify value creation opportunities.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted partnerships, and communicate complex topics clearly across functions and geographies.
  • Experience leading international, cross-functional projects and driving operational or finance transformation initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a results-oriented mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP (preferably S/4HANA), planning and consolidation systems, and business intelligence tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or a related field; MBA, CPA, CMA, Lean/Six Sigma, or Project Management qualifications are advantageous. Fluent English required; German and French are a plus.
