Zusammenfassung

Orange Business Services in Geneva seeks a senior Cloud Data Expert Consultant to lead data engineering, cloud infrastructure and DevOps for an enterprise data platform transformation. You will optimize PySpark workloads, manage Terraform modules, and enhance CI/CD pipelines while supporting production operations and stakeholder alignment.

You will work with Databricks, dbt and Kubernetes in hybrid cloud environments, ensuring secure, scalable data solutions and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years hands-on experience in data engineering, cloud data platforms or enterprise data platform operations.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python and PySpark.
• Experience with Terraform, including maintenance of existing modules and enhancements.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience supporting production enterprise data platforms in production.
• Practical experience with cloud and on‑premises networking, including VNETs and firewalls.
• Ability to engage with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Structured engineering mindset with emphasis on code quality, testing and operations readiness.
• Strong collaboration skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Fluent English and French.

To support a strategic Cloud Data Platform transformation program for one of our clients in the luxury industry, we are looking for a senior Cloud Data Expert Consultant with strong hands‑on expertise in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices and enterprise platform support.

In this role, you will contribute to the operation, industrialization and continuous improvement of an enterprise-wide Cloud Data Platform. You will work closely with data, architecture, infrastructure, security, integration, BI and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions, improve platform quality and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Your key areas of responsibility as Cloud Data Expert Consultant:

• Develop, review, troubleshoot and optimize Python and PySpark workloads for enterprise data use cases.

• Maintain and improve Terraform modules supporting cloud data infrastructure.

• Maintain, troubleshoot and enhance CI/CD pipelines used for data and infrastructure delivery.

• Support the operation of a large enterprise-wide data platform in production, including incident analysis, root‑cause investigation and reliability improvements.

• Design, configure and troubleshoot cloud and hybrid networking components, including VNETs, firewalls, cloud networking resources and on‑premises connectivity.

• Work directly with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, document needs and translate them into reliable, accepted data solutions.

• Collaborate with architecture, security, infrastructure, integration, BI and platform teams to ensure compliant and maintainable solutions.

• Contribute to dbt transformations, Databricks workloads and Kubernetes‑based environments where relevant.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, runbooks and operational handover material.

• Support knowledge transfer and upskilling of internal data teams, especially teams with a strong SQL background.

As an ideal candidate you have:

• 5+ yrs hands‑on experience in data engineering, cloud data platforms or enterprise data platform operations.

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python and PySpark.

• Demonstrated experience with Terraform, including maintenance of existing modules and controlled enhancements.

• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and improving CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven experience supporting business‑critical enterprise data platforms in production.

• Practical experience with cloud and on‑premises networking, including VNETs, firewalls, cloud networking resources and command‑line diagnostic tools.

• Ability to engage with business stakeholders, clarify requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• A structured engineering mindset, with attention to code quality, testing, documentation, traceability and operational readiness.

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in complex, multi‑stakeholder enterprise environments.

• Fluent communication skills in English and French.

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• Experience with dbt and modern data transformation practices.

• Experience with Databricks and lakehouse‑based data workloads.

• Exposure to Kubernetes‑based workloads or platform support.

• Experience working with Power BI teams or supporting BI consumption patterns.

• Experience in highly regulated, security‑conscious or luxury industry environments.

• Ability to coach, train and support the upskilling of data teams.
