Job summary

Actalent in Switzerland is seeking a Clinical Site SHE Coordinator to develop and implement an overarching safety, health and environmental strategy for the clinical supply chain. The role includes coordinating site-wide SHE topics, monitoring occupational safety, and managing substances and chemicals compliance.

You will lead risk assessments, promote building safety, and act as the main contact for partners in clinical packaging and warehousing. Fluency in German and English is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pharma operations, ideally Clinical Supply Chain.
• Degree or technical qualification with years of relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, packaging, QA, compliance or supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements and lean methods.
• Good understanding of SHE requirements and guidelines.
• Excellent oral and written German and English communication.

We are looking for a Clinical Site SHE Coordinator to develop and implement an overarching strategy, coordinate related topics site-wide, monitor occupational safety (including health and environmental protection), and coordinate matters related to controlled substances and chemicals.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for SHE activities within the clinical supply chain within the Global Clinical Supply Chain Organization
• Coordination of relevant activities and initiatives in close cooperation with various departments and local interface
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure the continuous maintenance of SHE risk management
• Ensure and promote building and operational safety as the Building Safety and Environmental Protection Officer, including the active follow-up of incidents
• Supporting the monitoring of occupational safety (including health and environmental protection) as the main contact person for business partners within clinical packaging and warehousing

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of operational experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within Clinical Supply Chain
• University degree in pharmaceutical engineering, a relevant scientific discipline or a comparable field, or technical training/qualification (e.g. technician/master craftsman) with several years of relevant professional experience
• Solid experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, quality assurance, compliance or supply chain
• A good understanding of regulatory and quality-related requirements, as well as industry best practices and methods for production efficiency (5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Good understanding of SHE requirements and guidelines
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in German and English
