Siegfried AG in Evionnaz, Switzerland, is seeking a Chemist R&D to lead development, optimization and troubleshooting of chemical manufacturing processes in an international, multidisciplinary environment.

You will drive scale-up, technology transfer from lab to pilot and commercial manufacturing, apply QbD/DoE/PAT, mentor scientists and support regulatory documentation.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or MSc in Organic Chemistry or related field with process chemistry focus.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical process development experience in CDMO or GMP environment.

• Solid understanding of GMP requirements and ICH guidelines.

Your Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chemical manufacturing processes.

• Supporting process scale-up and technology transfer from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial manufacturing.


• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase process robustness, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.


• Applying Quality by Design (QbD), Design of Experiments (DoE), Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and scientific data analysis to accelerate process understanding.


• Acting as the technical lead for customer projects, providing scientific expertise during client meetings and technical discussions.


• Collaborating closely with Process Research, Analytical Development, Production, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and HSE.


• Preparing technical documentation including development reports, risk assessments, technology transfer packages, and regulatory support documents.


• Identifying innovative technologies and new scientific approaches to strengthen process development capabilities.


• Mentoring junior scientists and sharing technical knowledge across the organization.

• Contributing to the strategic development of Process Development through innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Your Profile:

You are a passionate scientist with strong industrial experience and a collaborative mindset. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges while working in an international and multidisciplinary environment.

You bring:

• PhD or MSc in Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.


• Significant experience (5+ years) in pharmaceutical process development, ideally within a CDMO or GMP manufacturing environment.


• Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, process optimization, and scale‑up.


• Good knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE), Quality by Design (QbD), Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and statistical data analysis.


• Experience supporting technology transfer from laboratory to pilot or commercial manufacturing.


• Solid understanding of GMP requirements and ICH guidelines.


• Excellent problem‑solving and scientific reasoning skills.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, including customer interactions.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high scientific standards.


• Fluency in English and French.
