Roche seeks a Cardio-Renal Discovery Area Leader within pRED in Basel, Switzerland. You will architect the early-stage CV/renal pipeline, driving novel target validation and mechanistic programs across modalities, while leading elite teams to advance candidates toward IND/CTA readiness.

As a senior scientific leader, you will collaborate with world-renowned clinicians and researchers, shaping portfolio strategy and ensuring scientific integrity of translational efforts to deliver patient impact

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of progressive biopharmaceutical industry or premier academic translation experience.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Aufgaben

• Drive scientific strategy to validate disease-modifying targets across CV and renal segments.
• Lead programs targeting advanced mechanisms like myocardial energetics and podocyte injury.
• Oversee cross-disciplinary teams across small molecules, RNA-based therapeutics, and advanced biologics.
• Oversee preclinical-to-clinical translation and design architecture for IND/CTA-enabling packages.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with academic networks and consortia.
