Qualifikationen

• Engineering, Business Administration or Life Sciences degree (MS/MBA/BS/BA or equivalent).
• 10+ years of experience managing major capital projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Program management experience is preferred.
• Functional knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA-regulated facilities.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle, including validation and regulatory submissions.

• Establish and lead a program of CAPEX projects focused on closing critical safety gaps and improving facility compliance.
• Manage projects through the full lifecycle from scope definition to construction, commissioning, qualification and handover.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress, and proactively manage risks and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and global regulatory requirements, including EHS-by-design.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and reporting, providing updates to senior management and steering committees.
• Drive collaboration across Engineering, EHS, Quality, Operations, and external partners to ensure successful delivery.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through leadership and stakeholder engagement.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced CAPEX Program / Project Manager (m/f/d) to lead strategic projects focused on closing critical safety gaps across manufacturing and facility operations. If you have a strong track record delivering major capital investment projects within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly related to process safety improvements, fire protection systems, and infrastructure remediation, this could be an exciting opportunity for you.

Main Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a program of CAPEX projects focused on closing critical safety gaps and improving facility compliance.
• Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from scope definition and design to construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress, and proactively manage risks and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and global regulatory requirements, including the implementation of EHS-by-design principles.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and reporting, providing regular updates to senior management and steering committees.

Your Profile:

• Successful studies in Engineering, Business Administration or Life Sciences (MS/MBA/BS/BA or equivalent)
• More than 10 years of experience in managing major capital projects in the pharmaceutical industry
• Ideally experience of program management
• Functional knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA regulated facility
• Excellent understanding of project management principles and project lifecycle phases, including knowledge of Validation, CMC and facility regulatory submission requirements
• Experience to manage high level project budgets
• Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously and integrate project planning efforts across functions
• Ability to understand “the big picture” and approach problem solving in a proactive team manner
• German is mandatory
