BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
A leading international luxury company with a strong heritage in the high-end jewellery and watches sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and support commercial growth across the assigned markets.
The position will work closely with internal teams, distributors, Key Accounts and local market teams to ensure strong commercial performance and consistent execution across markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Drive business development across the assigned markets, achieving wholesale sales, margin and sell-out targets for each market.
- Commercial Planning: Manage the annual commercial plan for each market, monitoring sell-in targets, store productivity, assortment and distribution development.
- Stock & Assortment Management: Optimize allocations and stock in collaboration with relevant internal teams, with particular focus on product launches and novelties, stock cover, ageing and sell-through.
- Business Performance: Lead regular business reviews with local market teams, monitoring key KPIs, identifying priorities and defining corrective actions where required.
- Commercial Coordination: Ensure alignment across markets on pricing, product launches, Visual Merchandising and communication, supporting consistency in commercial execution.
- Market Development: Coordinate regional launches and distribution development, facilitating the sharing of best practices across markets.
- New Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities and support the development of existing and new clients, Key Accounts and distribution channels.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within the wholesale channel and the Watches & Jewellery industry.
- Proven track record in business development, market expansion, client development, Key Account management and international distribution networks.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate business insights into concrete actions and growth opportunities.
- Ability to work in international and multicultural environments, effectively managing priorities and stakeholders at different levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong results orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent English is essential. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Location: Switzerland, with international travel required.
