Job summary

Merck is offering an internship in Corsier-sur-Vevey where you will join the Global Drug Substance Development group. You will work on understanding cell metabolism and improving media formulations for bioprocess platforms, including small-scale deep-well plates and bioreactors.

You are a Master/Engineering student in biotechnology or related field, highly motivated, and able to work autonomously. English is required; French is a plus, and Python skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master/engineer student in biotechnology or related field.
• Motivated, autonomous and able to communicate project progress.
• Good written and spoken English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of scientists to develop solutions for production of biologics.
• Investigate cell metabolism and develop a perfusion platform process in small scales.
• Review literature on medium development and propose new formulations.
• Program and use robotic platforms to screen media formulations.
• Present data in project discussions and write a final internship report.
