Mistral AI in Lausanne is seeking a Technical Lead, Applied AI to drive the technical strategy, execution, and delivery of complex AI solutions for enterprise customers. You will lead project teams of Applied AI Engineers, ensuring scalable deployments and alignment with our product roadmap.

You will act as the primary technical contact from pre‑sales to post‑implementation, collaborating with research, product, and engineering to shape offerings while mentoring engineers and driving innovation

Qualifikationen

• 7–8+ years of AI/ML experience with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven track record leading teams to deliver AI projects from prototyping to production.
• Deep expertise in fine‑tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, agentic systems, and NLP deployment at scale.

Aufgaben

• Deliver hands-on coding and de-risk critical parts of complex AI projects.
• Lead Applied AI Engineers, mentoring and guiding best practices for deploying state‑of‑the‑art GenAI applications.
• Lead technical discussions during pre‑sales, translating customer requirements into actionable solutions.
• Design and oversee the implementation of complex AI systems, including fine‑tuning, RAG, agentic workflows, and custom LLM applications.
• Drive innovation by identifying emerging trends in AI, evaluating new tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to integrate customer feedback into development.
