Jobgether is seeking an Applied AI Engineer based in Switzerland to design and build agentic AI systems for production use. You will influence architectural decisions and drive AI engineering strategy as an early core member of the team.

You will develop scalable AI infrastructure, experiments, and tooling, collaborating with product and operations to deliver measurable impact. Fluency in English and a startup mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background delivering complex systems to production.
• Experience deploying AI or agentic systems in production environments.
• Understanding of reliability, latency, context management, failure modes, evaluation and observability.
• Knowledge of agent architectures, tool usage, structured outputs, context management, orchestration and feedback loops.
• Hands-on experience with modern LLMs and building reliable AI workflows.
• Experience using coding agents and agentic development workflows.
• Ability to break down tasks across multiple agents and subagents.
• Strong architectural judgment for combining AI models, deterministic software, and human input.
• Fluency in English and strong collaboration skills.
• Startup mentality with resilience and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement foundations of agentic systems and AI-powered workflows.
• Build reusable AI infrastructure for new workflows with reliability and scalability.
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance and identify failure points.
• Integrate testing, tracing, debugging, and observability into the software lifecycle.
• Create validation processes for agentic workflows before production deployment.
• Advance use of LLMs in software development and AI-assisted workflows.
• Develop workflows where coding agents explore code and propose changes.
• Use agentic tools in daily development and ensure effective collaboration with teams.
• Architect systems to enable specialized AI agents, tools, and human collaboration.
