You will collaborate with business users, IT teams and external partners to ensure stability, performance and seamless deployment of changes across complex systems, including healthcare IT platforms such as PIS, RIS, LIS or PACS.

Our client is an established organisation undergoing significant growth and digital transformation. To support the continued development and optimisation of its IT environment, we are looking for an Application Engineer to manage, integrate and continuously improve business-critical applications.

The position combines application management, systems integration, technical troubleshooting and close collaboration with business users, technical teams and external partners.

You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance and continuous evolution of critical applications within a complex and international environment.

Your Responsibilities

Application Management

• Manage business-critical applications and ensure their stability, availability and performance
• Analyse and coordinate the resolution of Level 3 incidents
• Implement sustainable solutions and continuous improvements
• Maintain application documentation, configurations and operational procedures

Systems Integration & Development

• Translate business requirements into practical application solutions and improvements
• Integrate core business applications and coordinate interfaces, data flows and dependencies between systems
• Participate in testing, validation and implementation of application changes
• Prepare training materials and support users during implementation and change activities
• Work closely with business, operational and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities
• Collaborate with external vendors and implementation partners
• Coordinate incidents, change requests and service improvements
• Ensure clear communication between users, technical teams and external partners

Governance, Security & Quality

• Ensure compliance with internal IT standards, security requirements and operational controls
• Contribute to access management, data protection and documentation requirements
• Participate in risk, architecture and quality assessments

Projects & Transformation

• Participate in application projects, system integrations and deployments
• Contribute to digital transformation and AI-related initiatives
• Support post-acquisition integration activities
• Ensure a smooth transition from project delivery into operational support

Your Profile

• Significant experience in Application Engineering, Application Management or Healthcare IT
• Strong technical understanding of applications, infrastructure, networks and IT security
• Experience with healthcare information systems such as PIS, RIS, LIS or PACS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in complex, international and multi-stakeholder environments
• Ability to communicate effectively with business users, technical teams and external vendors
• Structured, responsible and results-oriented working style
• Autonomous and proactive approach combined with strong collaboration skills
• Strong service orientation and pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Fluent in English, with French or German required
• Degree or professional qualification in IT, Business IT, Health IT or a related field
