Job summary

LGT Private Banking is seeking an AI Operations Specialist in Zürich to drive transparency, control and optimization of AI-related costs across projects, platforms and cloud environments.

You will analyze usage, identify cost drivers, and develop practical measures to ensure AI services are scalable, cost-effective, and well governed, collaborating with developers, data teams, product owners and Finance.

Qualifications

• Two to three years in a technical IT role with FinOps or cloud cost management.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML ecosystems including platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Azure AI Services and Azure OpenAI.
• Experience with cost observability and monitoring tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, translating usage data into clear financial explanations.
• Very good German and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand AI use cases and identify opportunities to use AI services, models and infrastructure more efficiently.
• Track AI costs at a granular level and build reports, dashboards and forecasting models.
• Monitor AI usage across native and third‑party cloud cost platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Translate operational AI challenges into clear financial requirements and decisions.
