Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. in Zurich seeks an experienced IC designer to lead AI-enhanced tool integration and drive AI-assisted engineering workflows across design teams.

The role covers RTL development in Verilog/SystemVerilog, requirement translation, and ongoing tool maintenance. The successful candidate will own engineering tools, collaborate with system, analog, and verification teams, and support silicon bring-up and product validation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience integrating AI-based tools into IC design workflows.
• Demonstrated solutions in requirements generation, RTL design or design-flow automation.
• Proven ability to work across analog/mixed-signal, verification and physical design teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of internal engineering tools; develop enhancements and support the team.
• Develop AI-assisted workflows translating requirements into specifications for engineering disciplines.
• Build automated tests and review workflows for generated specifications.
• Translate system requirements into digital specs and RTL in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Own lint, CDC/RDC analysis, synthesis and timing closure activities.
• Collaborate with system, analog, verification, firmware and physical design teams.
• Support silicon bring-up, lab debugging and product validation.
