Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Zurich seeks an experienced IC design engineer to lead AI-assisted tools for requirements management and specification development. You will work across SoC digital design, RTL development, and verification, with close collaboration to bring silicon from design through validation.

The role includes ownership of internal tools, ongoing software development, and maintaining integration with engineering workflows.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in electrical engineering or microelectronics.
Experience taking digital IC/SoC designs from spec to silicon.
Strong Verilog/SystemVerilog and RTL design skills.
Experience integrating embedded processors, memories, peripherals and on‑chip buses.

Responsibilities

Take technical ownership of internal engineering tools and codebases.
Develop AI-assisted workflows translating requirements into specifications.
Build automated tests and review workflows for specifications.
Translate system requirements into digital specifications and RTL.
Own digital design activities including lint, CDC/RDC, synthesis, timing closure.
Collaborate across system, analog, verification, firmware, and physical design teams.
Support silicon bring-up, debugging, and volume production readiness.
