Job summary

UBS invites applications for its 2027 GIA Graduate Talent Program internship in Zürich. You will join Group Internal Audit, supporting end-to-end reviews across front-to-back credit processes and risk management.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate (graduated in the last 24 months).
• Degree completed with graduation requirements met by program start date.
• No more than two years of full-time work experience.
• GPA 4.5 (Swiss system).
• Values hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative.
• Strategic thinker with strong communication skills.
• Motivated to work in a high-demand, deadline-driven business.
• Able to evidence responsible use of AI to improve outcomes.
• Strong analytical and fact-finding skills.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews and audits of front-to-back credit processes within UBS governance areas to strengthen risk management.
• Analyze and assess risks and barriers to delivery for business and support functions.
• Identify controls and evaluate their effectiveness (testing approaches).
• Monitor issue resolution, risk profile and developments; contribute to audit planning.
• Contribute to audit findings reports for UBS senior management.

We're looking for critical thinkers that love investigating things to join our 2027 GIA Graduate Talent Program.

You’ll Get To

• conduct reviews and audits of front-to-back credit processes across GWM S&I lending portfolios to provide practical, innovative and value-added solutions that strengthen risk management practices;
• analyze and assess risks and barriers to delivery, assumed by both the business and support functions;
• identify controls that are designed to address the risks and evaluate how effective they are (e.g. by testing them or deciding on a testing approach);
• monitor issue resolution, risk profile and developments within a specific area and provide input into our audit planning;
• contribute to reports of audit findings for UBS senior management.

Your team

You’ll be part of Group Internal Audit, the only function with a complete view across UBS. Reporting independently to the Board, we bring together specialists in business, risk, data analytics and AI to identify emerging risks, generate insight and drive change across the firm.

Your expertise

We’re Looking For a Candidate Who

• is a recent graduate (graduated in the last 24 months)
• has fully completed their degree and met all graduation requirements by the program start date
• has no more than two years of full-time work experience
• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
• has strong analytical skills
• has strong fact-finding and conceptual skills and an ability to quickly understand complex business processes as well as focus on details
• has excellent English skills, German is a plus

Start date: 1 February 2027

Your program

This paid internship will last six months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.

If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you've completed your studies.
