Job summary

UBS in Zurich invites recent graduates to join its 18-month Group Technology Office Graduate Talent Program. You will explore roles across Technology Engineer, Data Engineer, Software Engineering, Data Science and Analytics streams and contribute to robust data solutions while preparing for cloud, streaming, AI and Generative AI initiatives.

As part of a global, supportive team, you’ll rotate through assignments, develop new skills, and work with AI to drive client-focused technology

Qualifications

We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2027 Group Technology Office Graduate Talent Program.

You’ll Get To

• develop and implement technical solutions
• provide transparency across data quality, data flows and current issues to ensure applications are of the highest standards

AI / Generative AI

• research and explore potential applications of AI and Generative AI within Data & Reporting, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and deliver valuable insights
• develop AI and Generative AI-based applications and tools to support engineers, streamline workflows and improve efficiency
• advocate for AI and Generative AI topics by sharing knowledge and enthusiasm with colleagues and stakeholders
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI and Generative AI solutions into existing data platforms and reporting systems
• continuously learn and stay up to date with advancements in AI and Generative AI, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to the team

Your team

You’ll be working in the Group Technology Office located in Zurich. We’re responsible for sourcing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our world-class technology solutions. We’re a global organization with multiple streams that align with each of the key functional areas within UBS to ensure that our solutions meet business needs.

Based on your interests and experience, you could be placed as a Technology Engineer Graduate, Data Engineer Graduate, Software Engineering Graduate, Data Science and Analytics Graduate.

Within a crew of the Analytics and Sales Platform stream, you will contribute to robust and reliable data solutions while helping prepare for technologies such as cloud computing, streaming, AI and Generative AI.

You will work alongside a supportive team of data and technology experts who are passionate about using data and AI to support business growth and enhance client experiences.

We’re Looking For a Candidate Who

• is a recent graduate (graduated in the last 24 months)
• has fully completed their degree and met all graduation requirements by the program start date
• has no more than two years of full-time work experience
• has completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related field
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills

is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines

• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
• has a strong interest in AI and Generative AI and a desire to explore their potential applications in a business context
• has experience with AI and Generative AI tools and models such as ChatGPT, OpenAI, Claude, Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies
• has proficiency in programming languages and technologies such as Python, user interface development frameworks and SQL
• has familiarity with data engineering concepts and techniques
• has excellent English language skills, German is a plus

Our Graduate Talent Program is 18-months long and is designed to help you develop the skills you need to grow your career. To start, the program introduces you to our firm, provides professional and technical training and teaches you core skills and knowledge of commercial strategies and opportunities for UBS.
