Prepare and cook meals for customers, manage kitchen operations, supervise staff, maintain inventory, and ensure food safety standards.
- Determine the size of food portions and costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Manage kitchen operations.
Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in a kitchen environment.
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with a valid work permit. Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
