Qualifications

  • Three to five years recent mental health nursing experience preferably in a community setting.
  • Completion of the Medication Training Course and current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and related legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing mental health services.
  • Visits clients at home to determine their needs and provide nursing care.
  • Collaborates to develop and evaluate comprehensive care plans.

Skills

Ability to work independently
Knowledge of psychotropic medications

Education

BScN degree
Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
