A community-focused organization in Hamilton is seeking a Child & Youth Worker. This role involves direct interaction with children in emergency shelters, emphasizing compassion and crisis management. Candidates should possess post-secondary education in Child & Youth Care and two years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, supporting children's needs, and fostering community relations. The position offers a positive atmosphere and opportunities for professional development, as well as extended health benefits.
37.5 hours per week with a rotation of Wednesday to Saturday or Sunday to Wednesday. There are four 10-hour shifts comprised of days (8:00am to 6:00pm) and afternoons (2:00pm-12:00am) which rotate every two weeks.
