You will collaborate with the Materials Team as a Senior Materials Technician. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Sampling and testing field samples of soils, granulars, asphalt, and concrete
• Performing compaction testing of soils, granulars, and asphalt
• Inspecting engineered fill, subgrades, granulars, proof-rolling, asphalt, footings, excavations, roofing, fireproofing, and reinforcement
• Setting up, conducting tests, and logging results in the field
• Preparing reports, data sheets, and graphs for test result interpretation
• Executing technical procedures, safety practices, and work plans in the field, laboratory, and office
• Assisting with technical report and proposal preparation
• Maintaining positive relationships through tact and diplomacy
• Keeping records of health and safety info, calibration certificates, and standards
• Recommending safety improvements
• Traveling to remote sites for field work as needed

• Completion of a recognized Technologist program (OACETT C.T. designation)
• CCIL and CSA certifications
• Over 7 years of laboratory and field testing experience
• Ability to travel extensively between worksites
• Valid G driver's license
• Strong commitment to occupational health and safety
