Job summary
A financial services firm is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant in Oakville, Ontario. This role involves assisting with the month-end close process and supporting full-cycle accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of accounting experience, a strong background in GAAP, and advanced Excel skills. The hourly pay rate is $40. Candidates must reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to assist with the month‑end close process and support full‑cycle accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general accounting, financial reporting, and a comprehensive understanding of the accounting cycle from journal entries through to financial statement preparation.
- Accounting Designation
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
$40 / Hour
