Project : Heritage Resource Screening Project

The PMO, on behalf of PCS, is seeking one (1) or more Business Analysts to support the PCS Heritage Resource Screening Project. This project involves replacing a legacy system that protects Saskatchewan heritage sites. The new system aims to streamline the review process, improve efficiency, and enhance heritage site protection by providing better tools for archaeologists and easier access for businesses.
The Business Analyst(s) will collaborate with Project Managers, SMEs, third-party vendors, deployment teams, and the Application Management Services Team. A key part of their role will include coaching and mentoring business SMEs throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Business transformation projects
- Applying a business analysis framework for success
- Documenting Business Process and Workflow Models (As-Is and To-Be)
- Documenting use cases based on business process and workflow models
- Analyzing information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures
- Eliciting, documenting, managing, and communicating functional and non-functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyzing business requirements and translating them into business rules
- Defining and scoping the business problem or opportunity and identifying solutions
- Verifying that solutions meet requirements and assessing benefits and costs
- Identifying risks, issues, and assumptions, and contributing to risk management
- Working closely with technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated into solutions that meet user needs and fit into the GOS architecture
- Acting as liaison between technical teams and SMEs
- Researching and recommending new approaches and technological solutions for data and integration services
- Creating and documenting feasibility studies, business cases, technical assessments, RFX requirements, project charters, manuals, policies, and procedures
- Developing and managing testing plans to ensure system supports business processes
- Creating, coordinating, and executing test scripts using formal testing methodologies
- Serving as Test Lead for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Ensuring quality assurance of the information provided in solutions
- Facilitating stakeholder meetings and workshops
- Preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders
- Conducting organizational readiness activities to prepare the business for change
- Developing training materials and facilitating training sessions for technical and non-technical audiences
