Responsibilities

• Manage and direct activities pertaining to grocery staff including hiring, coaching, training, and disciplining.
• Ensure proper ordering, shelf stocking, building displays, pricing, product rotation, and inventory control.
• Ensure the department is ready for business at all times.
• Implement and ensure adherence to Customer Service Policy.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and government regulations concerning health & safety, sanitation, security, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Director.

Requirements

• Community college graduate or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum 3 years' directly related management experience with extensive product knowledge, government regulations, ordering, merchandising, inventory taking, and gross profit analysis.
• Customer service driven and highly organized.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.
• Proven leadership abilities with strong communication skills.
• Capable of standing for prolonged periods (4-8 hours), bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, including up to 3 evenings, 5 shifts (minimum 4 hours, maximum 10 hours), including every Sunday, with potential for two consecutive days off during the week every other week.
