About Island Gold District : Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold District’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality. Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and issues for a larger client group, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.
• Actively support the business as a trusted resource for site employee relations trends and insights through a strong field presence and active listening skills.
• Address employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy and employment law.
• Generate HR reports using access to global HR data to analyze HR metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
• Lead the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.
• Provide insight and support to the site for all key HR processes including Performance Management, Compensation, and Employee Engagement.
• Assist employees with benefits-related questions and ensure compliance with benefits programs.
• Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the Site HR Superintendent.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive HR issues with discretion and professionalism.
• Proficiency in HR software, HRIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
