Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Corporate Accountant to join their Finance team in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, support consolidation activities, and assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting. You’ll play a key part in the financial integrity of the organization while driving improvements in accounting systems and processes.
- Manage the full cycle of fixed asset transactions, including additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation analysis.
- Prepare journal entries, perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations, and generate financial reports in a timely manner.
- Handle intercompany loans, investments, and cost reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare working papers for Financial Statements and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), supporting accurate and timely quarter-end close.
- Assist in projects aimed at enhancing accounting systems and processes to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
- A degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
