A local agricultural business in Southwestern Ontario is seeking General Labourers for the upcoming growing season. This seasonal full-time position offers $17.60/hour for 40–60 hours per week, requiring flexibility in shifts. Responsibilities include hand-harvesting, crop cultivation, and maintaining the farm environment. Ideal applicants should have a willingness to work hard and the ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions. Experience in farm work is a plus, and candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.
Qualifications
- No degree, certificate or diploma required.
- Experience in farming or labor roles is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required.
Responsibilities
- Apply the technique of hoeing between the rows.
- Clear fields of wood and stones.
- Divide freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
- Hand-harvest vegetables.
- Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops.
- Harvest crops.
